Destiny 2 raiding

When it comes to raiding in Destiny 2, you lot'll demand six guardians to get the party started. It is very rare that you find yourself with six friends that have an equal dear for the aforementioned game. Finding a raid group in D2 was something I personally struggled with until finding the underground world of LFGs.

In this commodity, we volition exist discussing all the pop places for finding raid groups and how to join these groups once you observe i. This procedure is fairly straightforward and these tips volition make your raiding feel much more enjoyable.

  • Sherpa – a raid where someone is willing to teach new players
  • Fresh – make new instance, have not completed any of the encounters

This discord server has a Reddit aqueduct that helps y'all find groups in both Reddit and Discord. If yous join one, I'd recommend joining the other. Some people post in Reddit, others stick to Discord.

Fireteam Search [Official App past Bungie]

https://www.bungie.net/en/ClanV2/FireteamSearch

Lastly, I have for you the official app by Bungie. This Fireteam app allows you to search for players on all platforms, sort by activities, and sort by language preference. Platforms include: Steam, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox. You tin can log in on your browser, or download the APP on your phone.

Joining a Raid Group

To join a person in Destiny 2 you do non take to add them every bit a friend, y'all only need their ID number. All players have an ID number, and if your fireteam is fix to public anyone with access to your ID number tin can join your grouping (even if your condition in Steam is set to offline).

How to Find yous ID in Destiny 2

To find your ID number in Destiny ii press enter like you lot are going to chat inside the game. Now blazon /ID (forrad slash – i – d) and printing enter again. Doing so will show you your personal ID.

How to Join a Group with an ID Number in Destiny 2

Now, if you take someone's ID number, you can take it and bring together their party in-game. It'due south really elementary. Get back to the in-game chat, blazon (forrad slash – join – space – ID#) /bring together IDNUMBERHERE – and then printing enter and so long as the person is in orbit, or their case is not full y'all will exist able to join their party without having to befriend them kickoff.

Types of Raid Groups

In raiding there are two types of raids; the KWTD (know what to do) groups and the SHERPA groups. If you are new to the raid, or if you have only completed information technology once and are all the same confused I'd suggest joining a SHERPA raid. These are groups that are assumed to have new or unaware players.

A Sherpa, is a person who is choosing to have new players through the raid and teach them the mechanics of the encounters. Now, you may be asking yourself why someone would repeatedly endure the torture of education new players? It's simple, the Sherpa is gaining progress toward their Sherpa score. Every time a Sherpa takes a new player through a raid they earn a point towards their overall score. And then really, it's a win-win for both parties. The Sherpa earns street cred, and the newbie learns the raid.

The KWTD groups require you to know what you're doing. No one is instruction or leading for that matter, everyone but knows what to exercise and makes sure it gets done. Now, I practise have to say that in these KWTD groups I take run into some super intense gamers that get mad or insult yous if you mess upwardly.

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS Not ALWAYS THE CASE.

You can notice KWTD groups that also include the terms "chill run" or "chilled" or "chill" in their LFG search. These are people who don't heed wiping a few times (AKA mess ups) so long as you know what yous're doing.

Groups to Avert Unless 100% Confident

Unless y'all are super confident, steer clear of the 5+, 10+ clear requirement groups. A grouping with this requirement means; don't think about joining unless you lot have already beaten this activity 10 or more times. These people will check your triumphs and kick yous if you don't meet the requirements.

These groups are filled with ultra-sweat-masters that Will yell at you (I really don't know for sure but I can assume they accept zero patience). If you haven't browbeaten the raid that many times, I'd advise waiting for a different group.

All that being said…

If yous are new, look for a Sherpa, don't try to join a group that wants you to KWTD. These raids are super circuitous and require every person to know what to do, and do their part well. With a petty practice everyone can go the raid mechanics down, just have a little patience, and most importantly accept some fun.
